    Looking to back up the codex sinaiticus

    Hey i am looking to make an online copy of the Codex Sinaticus

    Just in case!

    I have tried allow right click, web copy cyotek, wayback machine ect nothing works,

    Essentially the resolution of the images comes through to poorly.

    Any suggestions?

      Only the owner or hosting company (which is or will be the British Library) should make a “backup”, for ‘just in case’. You can only “download”.

      If the file that you download doesn’t have the resolution you prefer, contact the webmaster and ask him to send you the original pictures, not the pictures published on the site as they are accessible on the site.

        I wasn’t talking about copyright.

        I don’t see a “download” option on the site, nor a “backup” option and nothing about downloading or backing up in the help (on their site see about the project > website presentation).

        So I’m afraid you want something that isn’t available at the moment. That’s why I suggested to contact them.

      One possible option is to use a screen capture tool to capture the images on the website. However, this will result in a lower-resolution image than the original image on the website.
